Can playing World of Warcraft teach you more about the business world than an Ivy League school? Maybe, says Researcher and Innovation Expert, John Seely Brown.
“World of Warcraft forces players to develop systems to sift through and then utilize the best of more than 15,000 ideas each night,” explains Seely. “I don’t know of any corporate structure that is prepared to manage a task of this size.”
The game gives players multiple opportunities to develop the skills that will make them successful.
Cogswell College encourages it’s entrepreneur degree students – many with deep roots in the world of video games – to value disruptive ideas, what they can learn from each other and what each person brings to the table.
