The Making of a Classic Arcade Game: Marble Madness

Remember the days?

What was it like to work in the video game industry during its arcade game heyday? Game designer, Mark Cerny, offered insights into his days working at Atari in the 1980s and specifically his experience with their hit game, Marble Madness, in this 2011 Game Developer Conference presentation.

Cerny began as a punch card hobbyist (for those of you too young to remember, code used to punched into paper cards that computers could read) and then began working at Atari at age 17.
